While the US continues to pass horrifying legislation, actor Michael Imperioli is taking a stance by refusing to allow bigots to watch his past shows, including The Sopranos, GoodFellas and The White Lotus.
On Instagram this weekend, Imperioli shared news of the Supreme Court upholding a web designer's homophobic policy to not design websites for gay weddings (even though it's not clear if said web designer was ever actually asked to design a website for a gay wedding, since the man she claims approached her about it is straight and has been married to a woman for 15 years).
Since the Supreme Court is allowing people to discriminate against others based on their beliefs, Imperioli says this gives him the right to ban homophobes from watching his work. He wrote, "Thank you Supreme Court for allowing me to discriminate and exclude those who I don't agree with and am opposed to. USA! USA!"
In subsequent comments on the same post, he wrote, "America is becoming dumber by the minute," and, "hate and ignorance is not a legitimate point of view."
