Along with paying Tonya Harding, Australian actress Margot Robbie will soon embody another iconic villain when she plays Harley Quinn in the forthcoming Suicide Squad. While that film hasn't arrived just yet, it looks like she might revisit the role with another standalone film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie is in talks with Warner Bros. to reprise the character for a spinoff film.
Rather than make it a Harley Quinn solo movie, however, Warner Bros. is apparently considering a film that focuses on the female villains and heroes of the DC universe.
Robbie reportedly proposed the project to Warner. When she was first cast as Harley Quinn, she dug into DC Comics and fell in love with the various characters.
For now, we'll get our first taste of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn when Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5.
