Laura Dern and Michael Keaton are both wildly successful actors who'll likely never have to ask you if you'd like fries with that. Nonetheless, they're about to be spending a lot of time flippin' burgs either way, as the pair are in talks to star in a new McDonald's biopic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair are set to appear in The Founder, a film documenting the rise of the restaurant chain. The film tells the story of Ray Kroc (played by Keaton), a salesman who met Mac and Dick McDonald and, impressed by the speed with which they cooked, pulled the McDonald's company away from them and created the Big Mac empire you see today.
Dern is set to play Ethel Kroc, Ray's first wife.
The Founder is being directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blindside) from a script written by Robert Siegel (Big Fan). It's being produced by Aaron Ryder, Jeremy Renner and Don Handfield. It's be released by the Weinstein Co. this November.
As of yet, no one has confirmed whether or not the creepily sexy new Hamburglar will appear in the film.
