Kevin Smith absolutely loves the Rio Theatre. When the Vancouver cinema was threatened by redevelopment, he stepped in to offer assistance. Now, he has announced plans to come in-person for some screenings of the upcoming Clerks III.
Smith's Convenience Tour will come to the Rio for three screenings: two screenings on Sunday, September 18 (an early show and an afternoon show), followed by an evening screening on Monday, September 19.

Smith will also be travelling around the US for plenty of live Q&As, although this Vancouver stop appears to be the only one in Canada. Hopefully he'll book more, considering that he's often mistaken for a Canadian.
