Kenneth Welsh has died. The Canadian actor, known for playing Windom Earle on Twin Peaks, passed away last Thursday (May 5) at the age of 80.

The Edmonton-born actor was a Member of the Order of Canada. He was a two-time Genie Award winner who played the US president in 2004's The Day After Tomorrow and Katharine Hepburn's father in Martin Scorsese's 2004 film The Aviator.

In recent years, he was the narrator in cult horror fave PG: Psycho Goreman and appeared in episodes of Star Trek: Discovery. His screen career stretched all the way back to the late '60s.
