On the heels of producing the first season of Westworld for HBO, J.J. Abrams is set to partner with the cable network once more for a new drama set in space.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams's Bad Robot Productions is set to develop Glare, an hour-long drama exploring the colonization of another planet.
Spanish screenwriter Javier Gullón has been tapped to executive produce and write a script for the program, while Abrams and Ben Stephenson will join him as executive producers.
On top of Westworld, which is currently gearing up for a second season, Abrams has landed TV credits for his work on CBS's Person of Interest, Hulu's drama 11.22.63 and Showtime's music drama Roadies.
Of course, he's also executive producing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That film is set to arrive in theatres on December 16, but not if Reddit racists have anything to say about it.
