In 2019, we learned that Kim's Convenience star Simu Liu would enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the star of forthcoming film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and we now have our first look at Liu in-character ahead of the film's arrival.
As it happens, the first shot of Liu as Shang-Chi does not come from the film's set, but rather from a LEGO set. An image circulating online of an officially licensed block set, dubbed "Battle at the Ancient Village," prominently features the Canadian posing in the titular hero's red suit.
Characters Xialing, Wenwu, Death Dealer, and Morris are also featured in minifigure form, while the box art is also dominated by an elaborate-looking LEGO dragon. In the Marvel film, Xialing will be played by Meng'er Zhang, while Tony Leung holds the role of Wenwu.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is currently slated for release in July 2021. While an official trailer for the film did not air during the Super Bowl as Marvel fanatics had hoped, Liu wrote on Twitter that "It's gonna be so good when it comes out guys I PROMISE."
