Nearly three years removed from its initial announcement, Netflix's live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop now has a premiere date and photos of stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir and Daniella Pineda in costume.
Based on the renowned late '90s anime series of the same name, Netflix's live-action reboot follows a team of bounty hunters led by Spike Spiegel (Cho), Jet Black (Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Pineda), who hunt down criminals throughout the solar system in the year 2071.
Cho is best known for his work in the Harold and Kumar and recently rebooted Star Trek films. Shakir is known for playing Bushmaster in Marvel's Luke Cage, while Pineda played Zia Rodriguez in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As previously reported, Alex Hassell and Elena Satine also star.
Netflix's Cowboy Bebop adaptation arrives November 19, and you can find first-look photos via Netflix here.
Shinichirō Watanabe, director of the original anime, is a consultant on the series, while original composer Yoko Kanno has also returned to score the live-action adaptation.
