Guy Fieri Is Willing to Host 'Saturday Night Live' on One Condition

Bobby Moynihan will have to be involved

It's a troubling fact that the honour of hosting Saturday Night Live has yet to be bestowed upon TV's favourite wacky uncle, Guy Fieri — and he knows it. Without so much as an invitation, the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host is nonetheless ready for his Studio 8H takeover — but with one condition.

As Uproxx reports, the RATM fan, general good guy and Mayor of Flavortown is going to need former SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan, whose impressions of Fieri have been given the chef's kiss by the man himself, on board to make his hosting debut worthwhile.

Speaking with Chris Wallace for the latest episode of Who's Talking to Chris Wallace? on HBO Max, Fieri verbalized his vision board for his hosting run. "I'm still looking forward to it one of these days, I'm gonna go host SNL," he said. "And then when I do it, I want Bobby to come be... I want him to do me and then me to critique how he's doing me."

Fieri elaborated: "I love Bobby. I think Bobby's hysterical. Matter of fact, the first time and only time I'd made it to Saturday Night Live was actually the first night he performed. And I met him at the wrap party later that night."

The pair apparently hit it off after that, and remain good friends to this day. "I've been on his podcast," he said. "And he, matter of fact, Bobby is on the beginning of Guy's Ultimate Game Night. You'll see a fantastic show with him on there."

And with that, the key to Flavortown has been presented on a paper-plate platter to the team over at 30 Rockefeller. Your move, Lorne Michaels.
