The Ellen DeGeneres show has paused production after it was revealed today that talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for COVID-19.

DeGeneres confirmed the news via Twitter earlier today, explaining that the show should resume production after the holidays.

"Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I'm feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines," she wrote on Twitter.

"I'll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe," she added.

The show's most recent season premiered on September 21 after it was the subject of an investigation by WarnerMedia's employee relations group in response to numerous allegations of workplace misconduct.
