Eddie Izzard Now Using She/Her Pronouns

"It feels very positive"

British comedian Eddie Izzard has announced that she now uses she/her pronouns and wants her gender-fluid identity to be "based in girl mode from now on."

Izzard shared the news while sitting for a portrait on the Sky Arts' drawing competition, Portrait Artist of the Year.

"I try to do things that I think are interesting. This is the first program I've asked if I can be 'she' and 'her' — this is a little transition period," Izzard said in the show. "It feels great because people assume that — they just know me from before, but I'm gender fluid. I just want to be based in girl mode from now on."

When asked how she felt about the change, Izzard explained that "it feels very positive," and that she has "one life" and that she must "live it well."
