The life and work of renowned saxophonist Clarence Clemons — who played with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band for 40 years before his death in 2011 — is set to be explored in a new documentary.

Clarence Clemons: Who Do I Think I Am? will receive a theatrical run and home entertainment release this summer through Virgil Films & EntertainmentDeadline reports. A run in theatres set for July will give way to an August 17 DVD release.

Who Do I Think I Am? features interviews with Bill Clinton, Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, nephew Jake Clemons and more, detailing the saxophonist's time in the E Street Band playing alongside Springsteen.

The film is also said to chronicle Clemons' spiritual journey later in life, with filmmakers saying the artist had a "transcendent awakening" following the end of the E Street Band's 2003 tour behind The Rising.

"Clarence was a true Big Man," film produced Joe Amodei told Deadline, referencing Clemons' nickname. "His spirituality rose to the top of every interview we conducted."

Who Do I Think I Am? first premiered at the Asbury Park Music and Film Festival this past April. Deadline adds that a TV/video on demand release is being planned for early 2020.
