If you're old enough to vividly remember the bygone era of 2001, then there is simply no way you missed out on Britney Spears's iconic VMA performance that year. If not, you've at least seen footage of Spears dancing to "I'm a Slave 4 U" while holding a massive snake named Banana. Perhaps you even remember Brit Brit's descent onto the VMA stage from inside a silver cage.

However, possibly no one remembers the dude that was inside the cage with her — until now.

Due to the massively popular Tiger King Netflix docuseries, fans are suddenly remembering Spears's very special tiger taming guest during her performance: Tiger King key player, Bhagavan "Doc" Antle.

If you watch closely in the video below, as Brit enters the VMA stage around the 23-second mark, you can see a tiger in the back of the cage she descends in. The massive golden beauty is being tamed by the Doc himself.

Besides his big cat zoo, Antle has had a long career providing tiger-related services to Hollywood. His cats have appeared in films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Mighty Joe Young and Dr. Dolittle.

So far, no word has surfaced as to whether or not Antle attempted to indoctrinate Spears into his creepy sex cult at the time.

Watch the video below, and keep an eye out for Antle in the background.
