Disney has cancelled the upcoming red-carpet premiere for Descendants 3, following the recent death of its star Cameron Boyce.

The premiere for the TV movie was originally slated to take place on July 22, but Disney released a statement saying that instead, the telecast will be dedicated to Boyce's memory.

Additionally, Disney will make a donation to the Thirst Project, a charity that Boyce supported.

Descendants 3 will debut on the Disney Channel on August 2.

The film tells the stories of the children of famous Disney villains. Boyce starred in the series' three films as Carlos, the son of 101 Dalmatians antagonist Cruella de Vil.

As previously reported, Boyce passed away on July 6 due to a seizure. He was 20. His family confirmed that the ongoing medical condition Boyce had been dealing with was epilepsy.

Earlier this week, the Los Angeles County coroner's office completed an autopsy, but is holding off from releasing an official cause of death until more test results come back.
