Did Netflix Accidentally Leak the Release Date for 'Black Mirror' Season 5?
Perhaps technology has its problems after all
As EW points out, a Netflix account reportedly tweeted a release date for what looks like a new episode of the show. It was listed as December 28, 2018, though Netflix has since deleted the post.
According to the post, the new episode is called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. According to some savvy Twitter users, Bandersnatch was the name of a real-life videogame developed in 1984 by a U.K. studio. Further, it was already hinted at in the show's Season 3 episode "Playtest."
Whether or not the release date is accurate (it most likely is), we should be learning more about Black Mirror Season 5 any day now.
Turns out there was an ill-fated game named 'Bandersnatch' developed by a UK studio back in 1984, which is the year 'Bandersnatch' the Black Mirror episode takes place (we know this because a set photo shows Bob Marley's 'Legend' at #1 on the charts in a record store). pic.twitter.com/rytyTl22sP— Ebejeevezner Scrooge ⛄🎄🎅🎁❄️ (@jeeveswilliams) November 21, 2018
