Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker's anthology TV show about how your phone is trying to kill you, released its fourth season last December. We've heard teasers about Season 5 all year, including news that it might include a choose-your-own adventure. While Netflix has yet to reveal the release date for the next season, the streaming giant has further revealed the evils of technology by accidentally leaking the release date.
As EW points out, a Netflix account reportedly tweeted a release date for what looks like a new episode of the show. It was listed as December 28, 2018, though Netflix has since deleted the post.
According to the post, the new episode is called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. According to some savvy Twitter users, Bandersnatch was the name of a real-life videogame developed in 1984 by a U.K. studio. Further, it was already hinted at in the show's Season 3 episode "Playtest."
Whether or not the release date is accurate (it most likely is), we should be learning more about Black Mirror Season 5 any day now.

Turns out there was an ill-fated game named 'Bandersnatch' developed by a UK studio back in 1984, which is the year 'Bandersnatch' the Black Mirror episode takes place (we know this because a set photo shows Bob Marley's 'Legend' at #1 on the charts in a record store). pic.twitter.com/rytyTl22sP
