After multiple rumours, Alien is finally headed to the small screen. Today FX announced a television series based on the classic sci-fi franchise is indeed in the works.
The show is being developed by Noah Hawley, the creator of the amazing Fargo series. Also, according to Deadline, the original Alien director Ridley Scott is in talks to serve as an executive producer.
The announcement came during the Disney Investor Day presentation, and the Alien series is being billed as the first story from the long-running franchise to actually be set on Earth.
At this point, it's unclear when the Alien series could premiere, but it comes after Hawley recently wrapped Fargo Season 4 the other week. So for now, stay tuned.
