Over the weekend (August 8), Sarah Silverman appeared on the Bill Simmons Podcast to talk about her work on Saturday Night Live, cancel culture, and the backlash she received for wearing blackface on her Comedy Central show The Sarah Silverman Program back in 2007.
According to Silverman, stills from the show have recently resurfaced on the internet, and at one point caused her to be fired from an unnamed film project.
The video shows Silverman wearing the aforementioned blackface as well as donning a gingham bandana and attempting to join a black church. At one point Silverman even goes as far to say she looks "like the beautiful Queen Latifah." The whole thing is truly offensive in the least funny way.
