The ongoing saga of Dave Chappelle and his Chappelle's Show continues. The comedian had his decades-old, wildly popular series pulled from Netflix and HBO Max over an old contract dispute. Now, the show has returned to Netflix after Chappelle was paid out.
In a new Instagram clip, which can be streamed below, Chappelle explained that he finally settled his dispute with Comedy Central over the show.
"I asked you to stop watching the show and thank God almighty for you, you did," he said. "You made that show worthless because without your eyes it's nothing. And when you stopped watching it, they called me. And I got my name back and I got my license back and I got my show back and they paid me millions of dollars. Thank you very much."
Chappelle specifically thanked Chris McCarthy of ViacomCBS for "making the past right" by completing the deal, adding, "after all these years, I can finally say to Comedy Central, 'it's been a pleasure doing business with you.'"
