Pete Davidson May Take Jeff Bezos's Rocket to Space

Kanye West can't hear you scream in space

Perhaps in an effort to put some distance between himself and newfound arch-nemesis Kanye West, Pete Davidson is reportedly now in early talks with fellow phallus fan Jeff Bezos about nabbing a ticket aboard his dong-shaped Blue Origin rocket to space.

Like William Shatner before him, Davidson may take one of the first "celebrity space race" passenger flights to the stratosphere, once (read: as of last year) only a novelty among billionaires.

As Page Six reports, the SNL comedian was spotted at Bezos's Los Angeles compound attending a dinner with reported new girlfriend Kim Kardashian, where the couple discussed Pete's potential spaceflight. Additional reports suggest that Davidson's ticket has yet to be officially printed, however, the 28-year-old "got on really well with Jeff when they met," and is "excited" to finalize contracts.

Aside from Shatner, Good Morning America anchor and former NFL star Michael Strahan also got a ticket to ride the Blue Origin last year. These celebrity treks followed that of Richard Branson's, who was the first among his billionaires-in-space cohort to successfully launch aboard the Virgin Galactic spaceship last summer — an event that was, naturally, predicted by The Simpsons.

Not everyone has been so cordial about the space race, however. Last year, Jason Alexander, Adam Pally, a mop and a stray cat spoofed the billionaire space race last year in "Cum Dog Billionaires," a teaser for The Problem with Jon Stewart.

Both Tom Hanks and Ashton Kutcher turned down offers to join Bezos in space.
