Neil Young Announces 'Dume' Archival Collection on Vinyl

The limited-edition collection compiles the 16 tracks originally collected for 2020's 'The Archives Vol. II' on vinyl for the first time

Neil Young has announced another limited-edition all-analogue vinyl pressing of a chunk of his expansive, illustrious catalogue.

Arriving February 23 on Reprise Records, Dume compiles the 16 songs originally collected for 2020's The Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976 CD box set — including some recordings from the historic Zuma album sessions with Crazy Horse — on vinyl for the first time.

According to a press release, Dume "captures the live-wire spark" of Young's music during the mid-'70s, an era when "ampage" [sic] and "attack were being pursued." The singer-songwriter, Crazy Horse and producer David Briggs were living in the Point Dume area of Malibu, feeling a sense of newfound freedom after the release of Tonight's the Night and writing the songs that would make up Zuma in a steady stream.

"Dume is somewhat of a Mad Hatter's take using the Zuma album as a starting point and expanding that scope into a brand-new entity," the release continues.

See below for the full tracklist for Young's latest archival collection, which follows last month's release of Before and After and the August arrival of Chrome Dreams.
