Having explored Ancient Mars on their 2012 LP of the same name, Vancouver unit the Zolas are now ready for the next step of their pop-rock journey. They've just revealed plans to issue a new EP, which they call Wino Oracle.
The four-song collection lands October 2 via Light Organ and was self-produced by the band at founding member Tom Dobrzanski's Monarch Studios in Vancouver.
Said to take the Zolas into a markedly different direction than in the past, the recordings apparently specialize in "vibrant, experimental pop." They're the first pieces to be produced by the current lineup, which finds Dobrzanski and fellow founder Zach Gray joined by Cody Hiles and DJ Abell.
The first taste of the set, the synth-spiked gloss-pop piece "Molotov Girls," premiered earlier in the year. You'll find the music video for the Zolas single down below. It's added that the Wino Oracle precedes the band's next full-length release, which is due in 2016.
Along with a tracklisting for the EP, you'll find the Zolas forthcoming tour schedule down below.
