Zola Jesus Announces 'Taiga,' Previews New Music in Album Trailer

Though the details are super sparse at the moment, Zola Jesus has announced via a trailer that she'll be releasing a fourth full-length record this fall. Though an exact due date has yet to be locked down, the album is called Taiga and it hits stores sometime in October.

The quick video clip, which you can see down below, begins with an ambient hum but soon enough it bustles up into whooshing electronic beats, intertwined vocal airiness and blankets of soft synth work. On the visual side of things, images of open fields, mountain ranges and geometric shapes are encased within the shadowy outline of Zola Jesus.

Despite the album title and the estimated arrival time, not much else has been revealed behind the project thus far. Jesus did, however, upload a few recording studio-set shots on Facebook a few months back and posted a picture on Instagram suggesting the final mix for the LP was completed at the end of March.

Taiga will be the proper follow-up to 2011's Conatus, which was delivered through Sacred Bones.
