Vancouver rapper Young Braised is back with a new tape for local label 1080p, and with Northern Reflections due out on Christmas Day, he has shared the track "Middle Class Homie Quan."
The track sports spooky synth twinkles, which are joined by syncopated drum-machine clatter and heavy-lidded rhymes. He croaks, "I rap into the rap on a whim / My rhyme styles vary." In this case, they take the form of slow, political musings and surreal imagery.
