Genesis' Reunion Tour Will Be Their Last, Says Phil Collins

"This English and American tour, that will be enough for me," he says

This week, Genesis are hitting the road together for the first time in 14 years on their rescheduled "The Last Domino?" tour, but Phil Collins is not seeing more action on the horizon for the band.

In a new interview with Mojo, Collins has confirmed that once Genesis wraps the North American leg of their tour in mid-December, that'll be it. "This English and American tour, that will be enough for me," he told the interviewer adamantly.

They followed up, pressing if Collins meant the band's concerts would end before 2022 — and if the question mark should be removed from the tour title. The musician replied, "Yes. The question mark was Tony Banks' idea."

Likewise, it sounds like the rest of Genesis could go either way: "I think it depends a little bit how [the tour] goes," Banks told the publication. "How Phil stands up to it all, how the audience receives it and how we all feel about it, really." Mike Rutherford has yet to comment.

Meanwhile, former Genesis members Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett are not participating in the "The Last Domino?" tour. They're replaced by the band's longtime touring hand Daryl Stuermer, as well as Collins' 20-year-old son Nic filling in behind the drum kit.

This news doesn't exactly come as a surprise, since Collins recently shared a health update revealing that he can barely hold a drum stick in his hand.

Genesis may no longer be a touring band after 2021, but "Invisible Touch" is forever.
