YACHT

"Party at the NSA"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Aug 15, 2013

Like many Americans, YACHT aren't fans of the National Security Agency's mass surveillance programs. The electronic pop duo are responding by releasing the digital single "Party at the NSA," with all proceeds going to fight warrantless surveillance and wiretapping.

The song is a sprightly electro-punk track that borrows riffs from Elvis Costello's "Pump It Up" and the "twenty, twenty, twenty-four hours" lyric from the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated." It features a guitar solo from comedian Marc Maron.

It's available to stream below and can be downloaded for a donation here; all proceeds go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation's fight against the NSA's mass surveillance.
