Since the Rheostatics went on hiatus several years back, drummer Dave Clark has kept himself pretty busy, performing klezmer-esque jigs in honour of Canadian rock icon Geddy Lee and amassing a 200-strong songbook. Now some of those tunes are about to see the light of day, as his New Orleans-style improvisational outfit the Woodshed Orchestra have taken a step back from performing live and decided to put tracks to tape. Listen to their new LP, Buzz, in full ahead of its October 26 release.
Delivering some sickly-sweet audio honey, the hyped-up outfit run the gamut on their newest release, providing brassy pop tunes ("Big Hit Song"), dope-y rock hits ("Stoned Again") and Liam Gallagher-worthy big-band numbers ("Drugs and Alcohol").
Stream the album in full below, and don't forget to catch the band live at their album release on October 26 at Hugh's Room featuring accompanying performances from Dani Nash and the Heavyweights Brass Band.
