If you managed to miss Willis Earl Beal's shows in Toronto and Montreal earlier this month, you're in luck. It turns out the artist has been added to some of Cat Power's current run of tour dates.
As Pitchfork reports, Beal linked up with Chan Marshall last night (October 18) for a show in Ithaca, NY, and they will stick together until the end of the month. That means that you can catch both acts together tonight at Montreal's Metropolis and tomorrow night at Toronto's Kool Haus.
Regrettably, the news isn't good for Canadians out on the West Coast. Beal's decision to hop on Cat Power's tour has meant that the last few shows of his solo trip have been axed, including a planned stop at Vancouver's Electric Owl. It may also sting BC to know that Beal does not appear to be scheduled to appear at Cat Power's November 2 show at the Vogue Theatre.
