Portishead's Geoff Barrow recently unveiled plans to release a new split EP with his side-project BEAK> and their new revolving-member alter ego KAEB. Each project gets two tracks on the upcoming four-song offering, and now KAEB tune "When We Fall" has been given the visual treatment.
The clip was made with Ex Machina director, Alex Garland, as well as the film's director of photography, Rob Hardy — a symbiosis of sorts, given that Barrow scored the movie.
In the video, we see layers of footage from beaches, forests and meadows, artfully edited together. It was shot on an iPhone that was held up to the viewfinder on an old Nikon SLR. Check out the results in the player below.
The split EP from BEAK> and KAEB will arrive in late July through Barrow's own Invada imprint.
