We Came as Romans frontman Kyle Pavone passed away last weekend at the age of 28. Now his cause of death has been officially revealed.
According to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office in Michigan, Pavone died as a result of drug abuse, TMZ reports. A full toxicology report, however, will take up to eight weeks to complete.
Today, Pavone's We Came as Romans bandmates confirmed the news and issued a new statement, writing "we lost our son, our brother, our best friend, and bandmate to an accidental overdose."

Pavone's death was initially announced via social media on August 25. At the time, though, no cause of death was revealed.
