We Are the City Announce Canadian Dates Behind 'Violent'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 16, 2013

Prog-flirting indie popsters We Are the City are pumping themselves up for the June 4 release of their next LP, Violent, and have now announced they will get out on the road as soon as it drops.

The BC band will be out and about by June 6, when they kick off the trip at Edmonton's Avenue Theatre. They'll make their way out east as far as Quebec City and play a number of club shows, with some coinciding with NXNE and Sled Island. You can see the details down below.

As previously reported, Violent is described as featuring "noise-soaked crescendos and delicate pop melodies." You can check out a stream of the act's "Baptism" down below. A video for the song is expected shortly, but in the meantime you can peep a recent trailer for the album beneath the audio stream of the single.
