Way back in the spring of 2011, Wavves mastermind Nathan Williams revealed that he was working on a comic book called Negative Dad. Now, it's finally here.

As Pitchfork points out, the first issue in the series is available for $10 over at Wavves' online store, where you can also view some images of the comic. From what we can tell, it's predominantly black and white, but some sections have green and others are full colour. It's credited to Williams, along with Matt Barajas and Rudolfo.

According to a press release, Negative Dad "follows the fantastic and disturbing journey of two young mutant boys, Daniel and Serjio, uncovering secrets surrounding their family and friends. This journey ultimately will determine the fate of their world and many others. They live in Verlaine City, a city that once was the centre of a scientific revolution, but now a disgusting, dying shadow of its former self. When the boys are visited by beings from another realm, its up to them to discover the truth about their father and his incredible past."

As of 2011, the series was slated to run for 12 issues.

Meanwhile, Wavves will spend the coming months on tour. See the schedule here.
