Previously best known for their collaborative album with Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis, Rabbit Fur Coat, indie folk sisters the Watson Twins made their mark with 2008's break-out record, Fire Songs. Now, they are set to do it again with a brand new album.
Titled Talking to You, Talking to Me, the record is due out this winter. According to a press release, the album is "their most ambitious album to date... taking a soulful turn, à la Carole King, but with a pop edge reminiscent of Feist. The result is a heartfelt nod to their roots, retaining the ethereal harmonies that have become their signature while incorporating a variety of influences and inspirations."
While no tracklisting has been made available yet, a song called "U N Me" can be heard here, in exchange for your email info.
Talking to You, Talking to Me will be out on February 9 courtesy of Vanguard Records.
