Watch Michael Bublé Cover Elvis Presley for Surprise Performance at Toronto's Eaton Centre

Like Mariah Carey, Bublé has officially thawed for the holidays

Although it would be impossible to replicate the chokehold that Mariah Carey has on the holiday season, Michael Bublé might be her CanCon counterpart. Every year approaching December, the Burnaby-born singer seems to manifest himself anywhere and everywhere — most recently, at the Eaton Centre in Downtown Toronto for a Bubly pop-up event.

Bublé, who's been a long-time sponsor of the drink, had announced the event as a meet-and-greet in early November, but his performance of Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas" was a complete surprise to the crowd, who gathered on both levels of the mall to watch him sing.

Of course, he's pretty comfortable with Elvis's 1957 hit since he covered it on both his iconic 2011 album Christmas and his most recent release, 2022 EP Michael Buble's Romantic Christmas

Although his creativity in naming projects clearly needs some work, Bublé's voice is still unmistakable and among the best in the business. Lucky for him, Paul McCartney was nowhere to be found, so he avoided any constructive criticism from the crowd.

Watch a fan-captured clip of the performance below.
