Warren G Taps Nate Dogg, E-40, Young Jeezy for 'Regulate… G Funk Era' Sequel

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 9, 2015

West Coast rap star Warren G has been laying pretty low since dropping The G Files back in 2009, but that's about to change now that he's announced plans to release a sequel to his 1994 debut Regulate… G Funk Era.

The new EP, aptly titled Regulate… G Funk Era Pt. II, is slated to arrive on August 6 and will feature an impressive array of guests.

As a nod to fans, the new album will feature previously unheard material from the Warren G's long-term collaborator Nate Dogg, who passed away in 2011.

"They have been asking for years; ever since he passed away and even before he passed away, they wanted music from me and him," Warren G told Billboard. "It was a lot to work on records with one of your buddies, one of your best friends who's not with you anymore."

The record's first single is a collaboration with Nate Dogg titled "My House" and is expected to arrive soon.

In addition to recordings from Nate Dogg, the new material also features guest appearances from artists like E-40, Too $hort, Young Jeezy and Bun B.

In support of the new album, Warren G will play two live shows; one in New York on August 9 and on in Los Angeles on August 13.

While we await the release of "My House," relive the 1994 hit "Regulate" in the player below.
