Waka Flocka Flame Says He's Dedicating His Life to "Suicide Prevention and Mental Illness"
Published May 26, 2020It's been quite a while since we heard from Waka Flocka Flame, but the trap artist who pivoted to EDM and then pivoted to being an online influencer while still dropping mixtapes here and there has continued to keep himself busy. Up next, Waka says he's devoting the rest of his life to a noble cause — mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Late last night, Waka revealed his plans to pivot towards something more socially responsible:
I'm officially dedicating my life to suicide prevention and mental illness!!! Y'all not alone Waka Flocka Flame is with y'all now!!!!— Waka Flocka (@WakaFlocka) May 26, 2020
How this will tangibly change Waka's day-to-day is yet to be seen, but it's certainly a noble pursuit for a celebrity of his stature.
Waka had previously appeared on the Viceland series The Therapist, where he opened up about dealing with the death of his brothers.
