Though all signs point to an increase in vinyl sales, this hasnt stopped some labels from releasing frustratingly limited records of all shapes and sizes. Brooklyn-based weirdo-peddlers Aagoo Records take it a step further with a six-piece series of picture discs that pairs the candid Polaroids of experimental photographer David Horvitz with rare jams from the indie avant-garde (dhpd.bigcartel.com). Best known for his collaborative book with Xiu Xiu, Horvitz continues to demonstrate his good taste with now-released obscurities from Casiotone For the Painfully Alone and Parenthetical Girls and upcoming discs from Abe Vigoda, Mika Miko, Sunset Rubdown, and No Age (which will arrive every two months until early 2009). Strictly limited to 500 copies each, finding these will almost guarantee a headache unless you score one of the limited subscriptions.
