Sometimes annoying, but never boring, this small-town Southern Ontario four-piece takes the better elements of early '90s soft-loud-soft alt-rock, complete with screaming instead of singing, and mixes it with melodically wailing and intertwining late '90s emo guitar and vocal lines. The results vary wildly from the mesmerising "No-Life Crisis" and the strong closing track "Breathing Pattern" to the stunningly derivative and grating opening track, "Every Bears Life Guide." As an entire six-song collection, it's suitable listening for any college rock geek to do the housecleaning to.
