While this is a fairly standard tribute album, the angle this album has is that all of the bands are Japanese and are likely unknown to most, if not all, North Americans. The only interesting exceptions are Mo'some Tonebender's dirty and tumbling attempt of "Planet of Sound," as well as Feed's erotic scrambling of "Debaser." Honourable mention goes to the Beat Crusader's faithfully sweet cover of "Debaser" and the Cowper's take on "Bone Machine".
