If you have to have every Jamaican ska song ever recorded, Heartbeat will be glad to oblige you. Ska All Mighty... is another in a series of releases that takes rare songs and mixes them in with classics, which you may already have multiple times on various compilations. There are some tracks from lesser-known artists like Owen and Leon Silvera and the Slickers, and also tracks from heavyweights the Skatalites, Derrick Morgan and the Baba Brooks band. Most of the songs are from the earliest days of ska in Jamaica, and the R&B and jazz influence are still very evident. Also, the liner notes are decent but not as detailed as one would hope, however, the album gives a good taste of the roots of the music and there are some gems on it.
