Leave it to the French to put together a stylish, super smooth electro-jazz collection. The Saint-Germain Café series sells like hotcakes, and theres a reason why theyre reliable, quality nu-jazz releases, and this most recent volume offers a nice mix of soul, groove, and low-key beats, while treading lightly into house and Latin sounds. Those who cant bear the diva vocals thing will find some tracks to skip, but you cant go wrong with the likes of genre mainstays Kruder & Dorfmeister ("High Noon), Koop ("Tonight remix), and Matthew Herbert ("Suddenly"). Expect to hear a lot of this at high-end cafés any minute now.
