Any punk compilation released by a major label should be met with scepticism. Sure, major labels have released plenty of good punk rock over the years, but they never seem able to grasp what it's all about. For them it's all about the money. This comp features some good songs from some good bands, like the New York Dolls, the Vibrators and the Misfits, but the question is why bother? Haven't we all heard "Kick Out the Jams" or "I Wanna be Sedated" a million times? Do we really want to hear Rollins sing "Liar" or the Beastie Boys' "Fight For Your Right" again? Someone could've put more thought into choosing the songs on this because it sounds like mixed tape made by a poser who raided his older brother's record collection.
