Barricades and Broken Dreams: An International Tribute To Confli

BY Rob FerrazPublished Nov 1, 2001

Conflict rank among the best and most influential of the British anarcho punk bands of the '80s. Along with bands like Discharge and Crass, their direct action, smash the state style has inspired many a black masked protestor over the last 20 years, and it's only fitting for a tribute to be released in the days of anti-globalisation. This CD contains 28 tracks from the likes of Aus Rotten, Wat Tyler, Engage, Dogshit Sandwich and more. If you haven't heard Conflict, you're better off getting one of their records, but if you have, this may prove worth listening to and being inspired by.
