Vapid

Teenage Head

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jan 1, 2006

It's 1978 all over again. Burlington, ON's Vapids pay tribute to "the most important record in rock and roll in Canada," Teenage Head's eponymous debut, on their new disc. Produced by Teenage Head guitarist/songwriter Gord Lewis, these ten songs have all the urgent energy of the era they came from and are sure to get inside your head and bounce around like a herd of pinballs. There isn't a bad one in the batch either. Listening to these songs gives you a good idea of where bands like Screeching Weasel got a good chunk of their sound from - SW even cover "Ain't Got No Sense" on Wiggle. This is the record you want to listen to when you're driving your shag carpeted interior van from the roller rink to a suburban bush party.
