There is still no word as to exactly when Vallens will release an album for Hand Drawn Dracula, but for now, the darkly rocking Toronto band have rolled out a video for "Dark Tunnel."
The video lives up to the band's Facebook description of "goth-gaze." The song rides a hypnotic, alt-rock-inclined shoegaze groove for close to four minutes. In that time, we watch project leader Robyn Phillips deliver her lines for the camera and assemble a pile of junk in the backwoods. With a combination of black and white footage and gloomy colour shots, "Dark Tunnel" definitely lives up to its shadowy name.
The clip was directed by Adam Seward. Watch it below.
Vallens will perform at Toronto's Adelaide Hall on September 1 with La Luz.
