This is the first Canadian band to grace the roster of America’s premier Christian rock label. Being from Winnipeg, they seem to have caught the Propagandhi bug in a big way, except maybe for the lyrics, which vary between the personal and the political in a brotherly love kinda way. Some of the songs are annotated with bible references and the topics range from a condemnation of how the system creates poverty in “Land of Opportunity,” to the puritanical finger-wagging of “Disfigured,” which features the line: “Why do we let this lust take over our minds.” They have the infectious pop-punk sound down to a tee and handle it as well as any of the big guys.
