Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar's former alt-country crew Uncle Tupelo repressed some of their albums on vinyl just last year, but 1990's No Depression is slated to get another reissue, this time in expanded form. No Depression: Legacy Edition will arrive on January 28 through Legacy Recordings.
This deluxe reissue is spread across two CDs. It includes the original album, plus the bonus tracks from a prior 2003 reissue, along with a 10-song 1989 demo called Not Forever, Just for Now, two songs from the 1988 cassette Live & Otherwise, and five cuts from the a 1987 demo called Colorblind and Rhymeless that was the band's earliest recording.
The album was remastered by Vic Anesini at Battery Mastering Studio in New York.
The rustic demo track "I Got Drunk" is streaming below [via Rolling Stone]. Also below, check out the reissue's hefty 35-song tracklist.
Prior to No Depression, Legacy will release a vinyl single for Record Store Day's Back to Black Friday event on November 29. This numbered 7-inch features Uncle Tupelo's studio-recorded covers of the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Commotion."
