At first glance, this looks like another one of those redneck-meets-punk records, with a busty bikini-clad blonde and 18-wheeler truck on the cover. And even though that sound is getting kind of tiresome, this NYC trio manages to throw a different twist on it. Comparisons with the Supersuckers are inevitable, which is as good a compliment as any. What the Turbos have done is thrown in a revved-up surf sound to mix it up a little. This is their third record and it was produced by Agnostic Front's Roger Miret. If you dig the greaser/drag-strip sound, this deserves a spot in your collection.
