I created a new name for the style on Transmatic's self-titled debut: girlie girl pandering boy band rock ("double G, double B rock" for short). Honestly, if you slowed down these tunes, replaced the guitars and drums with an orchestra and gave them to the Backstreet Boys, they'd be hits for sure. Vocalist Joey Fingers is not bad, but when you mix in the harmonised backing vocalist of guitarist Zack Baldauf, I have to give my head a shake to ensure I am not listening to Top 40 radio. There is nothing groundbreaking to see here, move along, move along.
