Todd Burdette, the Portland hardcore legend who's served time in Tragedy, His Hero Is Gone, Deathreat, Severed Head of State and many others, will add yet another notch to his bullet belt with a new blackened doom metal project called Nightfell.

Teaming up with Tim Call of Aldebaran, the duo have readied their eight-song debut album. It's called The Living Ever Mourn, and a press release suggests it will be a nice, light listen:

Envisioned and executed in a period of grief, delirium and loss of life, the atmosphere and lyrics mirror the ensuing emptiness while simultaneously embracing the dichotomous power in the unwavering and eternal force of Death.

Southern Lord will release The Living Ever Mourn on CD and vinyl this May. While final street dates are still being confirmed, the album can be purchased digitally now via Bandcamp.

The Living Ever Mourn:

1. The Last Disease
2. I
3. I Am Decay
4. Empty Prayers
5. The Hollowing
6. II
7. Altars To Wrath
8. Funeral Dirge
