Babygirl have shared details of a new EP. The Toronto duo will release Be Still My Heart on April 14 via Sandlot Records.

Be Still My Heart is the fourth EP from Exclaim! New Faves alum Kiki Frances and Cameron Bright, who we last heard from on 2021's Losers Weepers.

Across its five songs, Be Still My Heart details feelings of both joy and hopelessness. "We really want our music to be hopeful and sweet and full of love, but we also want to acknowledge how hard it can be to feel those feelings," Frances shares in a statement. "We certainly both have a lot of emotional ups and downs as everyone else does. This world is really hard to live in, and there's a lot of pain and joy — equal measure at different times."

"Sore Eyes" is the first song to arrive alongside today's EP news, and you can hear it below alongside a lyric video. The hopeful track is sure to give heart to anyone that has ever felt like "a pool, drained / on the last day of summer" before.

Babygirl have also planned a pair of performances around Be Still My Heart's release, playing Montreal on April 12, ahead of a date in their home city on April 15.
